FOOD & FESTIVALS

Contrary to what one would imagine considering the land, Ladakh is otherwise no less striking in colour than the rest of India. Local festivals, such as the Losar, the Hemis festival, Phyang Tsedup are celebrated with as much gaiety and fun as others festivals in the country. And for the foodies, there is no dearth of dishes to try from. Piping hot thukpas, momos, and a host of other Tibetan dishes can be found here. Then, there are various types of bread and fresh fruit jams and jellies to fill a hungry stomach with some of the choicest flavours
